Built from purpose,
not obligation.
HVA was born from a belief that everyone has the potential to thrive.
The Origin
In 2009, a group of students huddled together in a computer vision lab at IIT Madras, driven by a simple conviction: technology could solve meaningful problems.
Years of experimentation across education and healthcare taught them a hard truth. Deep change is slow, and startups can't afford to wait.
So HyperVerge made a deliberate choice: build a strong economic engine first. Then use that strength to take on the world's hardest problems. Kedar, our co-founder, calls this a conscious business: profit with purpose.
Conscious Business: Profit with Purpose.
Economic Engine
Profits that compound for the long term and fund what comes next.
Contribution Engine
Solving fundamental problems: education, employment, affordable healthcare.
Built to Last
Both engines designed to outlive the founders, not just the moment.
Economic engines provide patient capital to contribution engines. Contribution engines give them purpose.

Then came the second engine.
Once HyperVerge's economic engine became strong and sustainable, we turned toward building the contribution engine, driven by our deep purpose to create meaningful impact. We didn't start because of obligations or external pressures. We started because it is core to who we are.
In 2020, HyperVerge spun up a team purely focused on contribution. Not as a side project. Real change needs full-time dedication.
The first phase wasn't about rushing to do things. It was about deeply understanding:
- โขWhat problems do people around us face?
- โขWhat are other impactful organisations doing?
- โขWhere and how can we meaningfully contribute?
Vani's Story
This journey led to meeting people like Vani (name changed), a computer science graduate from Sathyamangalam. Vani's story reflects the struggle of many talented individuals across India.
Despite her degree, her college education hadn't prepared her for the skills demanded by the industry. She managed to find work at a data annotation company, but the pay was barely enough to survive, let alone support her family or repay the loans her father had taken to fund their education.
Vani is bright, smart, and full of potential. What she lacked was access to the same opportunities that others with privilege often take for granted.
Her story inspired us deeply.
HVA was created with the belief that unlocking the potential of young people like Vani could not only transform individual lives, but also contribute meaningfully to building a stronger, more equitable society.
Two gaps to bridge.
The Skills Gap
Students lacked direction, guidance, and feedback to become job-ready. No clear path. No mentors to show them what to do, how to grow, or how to measure progress.
The Network Gap
Even with skills, students from under-resourced backgrounds struggled to get opportunities. They lacked access to professional networks, references, and introductions that open doors.
Without these two pillars, it's extremely difficult to break cycles of disadvantage.
See how we built the answer โA world where all individuals can build aspirational careers.
All
Everyone. Not just those with privilege, connections, or prior access.
Build
Through their own capability. Self-reliance and independence, not handouts.
Aspirational
Careers that are fulfilling, secure, and empowering. Not just jobs to survive.
Careers
A long-term, sustainable journey, growing with skills, opportunity, and dignity.
Small start. Honest growth.
- Dec 2020
First pilot. 23 learners from SSIET Coimbatore, Ullas Trust, and NavGurukul. Could we build career pathways through an online program?
- April 2021
Proof of concept. All 23 learners placed. Average starting salary: 4 LPA. The answer was yes.
- 2021โ2024
Growth. 300+ learners onboarded. Team grew to 8+. More success stories, and hard lessons about quality as we grow.
- 2024โ2025
Rebuild. Fewer learners. Stronger processes. Better technology. Quality over quantity.
- Today
A new beginning. Strong team, clear playbook, systems that work. And still asking the hardest questions.
How we show up every day
