The silly reason I got into web development
There are 4 members in my family. My father works in a lathe workshop, my mother is a homemaker, my sister works as a tutor at Focus Edumatics, and there's me.
After I completed my school, I did a diploma in Computer Science Engineering. In my second year, I got an internship at Elysium Academy as a web development course. They taught me the basics of HTML and CSS. I learnt the basics and created some websites on my own.
When I hover over the button, it's changing the colour. That's very funny to me. So that's the silly reason I got interested in web development.
I decided to become an electrician
After I completed my diploma, I searched for so many web development courses. But they asked me to pay Rs 60,000 to 80,000. I searched everywhere, on social media. I contacted some academies directly also.
But I can't able to pay that much money. So I left it and decided to start my career as an electrician, because of my family situation.
I thought HVA was a scam
At that time, through my HOD, I heard about HVA. They contacted me.
I couldn't believe it. I searched so many courses, right? I was thinking, how are they providing a free course to hundreds of learners. I thought it was a scam.
In HVA, one learner named Gnanam, he's my friend. He contacted me again and told me how the HVA program is working and everything. He helped me complete the screening. After that, luckily, I got selected in HVA.
Since the HV branch is in Coimbatore, it was easy for me to go to office every day.
Pawan changed my path
When I was a learner, I used to go to the CBE office every day. There I met Pawan. He is my mentor. He changed my life path.
“He is not like a mentor. He treated me like a little brother.”
He motivated me to do things. I used to think, I only completed diploma, how can I get into IT field. Pawan taught me, that's not an issue. You develop your skill. He motivated me and built my skills very properly. That is the main reason why I am here.
After I completed my course, Pawan referred me to HV. Luckily, I got a job at the HV office. I am very happy about that, because of Pawan. He's the one who built my career and changed my path.
I was going to work as an electrician. But now I got a job as a software developer. The reason is Pawan.
I am very happy to join HV.
